End of 2012 Season

The books have opened and closed for the Belleville West Mighty Maroons 2012 softball season.  The Maroons ended the season with a 11-25 record after their loss to the Belleville East Lancers in the Regional Semi-Finals earlier today.  The Maroons will have a season ending banquet at Fischer's Restaurant tomorrow night at 4:00 PM.  Looking forward to seeing everyone there to wrap up the end of the season.  Conratulations to the Seniors on not only the end of their softball careers, but also on their graduation this evening from Belleville Township High School West!!!  Good luck in all your future endeavors!!!

JV Makeup Game vs. Belleville East

The JV Softball team will play its makeup game against the Belleville East Lancers, at Belleville East, on Wednesday at 4:00. Notice the start time is 30 minutes earlier than usual.  Secondly, there is only going to be a bus ride for the JV Team to Belleville East, not back to West.  Again, there will not be a bus coming back to West after the game.

JV Nashville Game

The JV softball game against Nashville today will be played immediately following the Varsity game instead of simultaneously. 

JV Jamboree Tournament Cancelled

The O'Fallon JV Jamboree Tournamnet schedule for today has been cancelled due to inclimate weather.  JV players wil not have practice today either.  The tournamnet WILL NOT be rescheduled.

Alton Game Rescheduled

The game against the Alton Redbirds at Alton High School, which was cancelled on April 5, 2012, has been rescheduled for April 19, 2012. This is the conference make-up day on our schedule so please plan accordingly if you are wanting to make the trip up the river to Alton. Also, please check the Concession Stand Tab to sign up to work the upcoming home games. We have many slots still open/available, so please do your part and sign up for at least one game this season (JV and Varsity Parents are both welcome to work).

First Wins of the Season

Congratulations to both the Varsity team and the Junior Varsity team on collecting their first wins of the season today against the Collinsville Kahoks.  The Varsity team defeated the Kahoks 5-4 in 7 innings, while the JV team came roaring back from a 6-0 deficit to win the game 12-7.  The Maroons will battle the Gibault Hawks tomorrow in their Home Opener.  The Varsity game will start promptly at 4:15 with the JV game immediately following.  Come out and support your Mighty Maroons!!!!

Red Bud Game Rescheduled

The game against Red Bud, which was cancelled on March 22, 2012, has been rescheduled for April 4, 2012. If you were scheduled to work the concession stand for this game, please plan on working on the rescheduled date. If for some reason you cannot do so, email me about your conflict in schedule and I'll make the necessary changes. Please check the Concession Stand Tab to sign up to work the upcoming home games. We have many slots still open/available, so please do your part and sign up for at least one game this season (JV and Varsity Parents are both welcome to work).
