First Wins of the Season

Congratulations to both the Varsity team and the Junior Varsity team on collecting their first wins of the season today against the Collinsville Kahoks.  The Varsity team defeated the Kahoks 5-4 in 7 innings, while the JV team came roaring back from a 6-0 deficit to win the game 12-7.  The Maroons will battle the Gibault Hawks tomorrow in their Home Opener.  The Varsity game will start promptly at 4:15 with the JV game immediately following.  Come out and support your Mighty Maroons!!!!

Red Bud Game Rescheduled

The game against Red Bud, which was cancelled on March 22, 2012, has been rescheduled for April 4, 2012. If you were scheduled to work the concession stand for this game, please plan on working on the rescheduled date. If for some reason you cannot do so, email me about your conflict in schedule and I'll make the necessary changes. Please check the Concession Stand Tab to sign up to work the upcoming home games. We have many slots still open/available, so please do your part and sign up for at least one game this season (JV and Varsity Parents are both welcome to work).

Game Cancelled

The Varsity game against Red Bud today has been cancelled due to inclimate weather.  Please check back here later for an update as to when the game will be made up.

New Sections

I have added a couple of new page tabs at the top of the web site. 

Be sure to click on the "In the News" tab for any articles published in any newspaper or magazines about our softball program, players (both past and present), etc.  Please email me with any news stories you may come across that are not listed on the website. 

I have also added a tab for pictures and information about former softball players who went on to play in college or current players collegiate signings.  Please email any information about past players not listed on the website and a picture of them "in action" or in uniform during their college days. 

Finally, I have added a Concession Stand tab to show/remind people of when they have signed up to work.  If there is an empty spot that you are willing to work, please email me and I will add your name to the list on those days.  If we do not have workers scheduled, the concession stand will not be open, nor will any products be available for purchase in regards to drinks, snacks, sunflower seeds, etc. for your daughters during their games.

Paperwork and Activity Fees

If you have not already done so, be sure to get your paperwork turned into your respective coaches ASAP.  Secondly, if you have not turned in your $40.00 Activity Fee to the bookstore, this needs to be done by tomorrow.  Failure to get these items turned in may jeopardize your ability to play in the 1st game of the season against Columbia on March, 20 (Varisty) and March 21 (JV).

Practice/Tryout Info.

Oh Happy Days Are Here Again!!!!  Practice starts tomorrow.  As long as the weather is good (no Rain and Above Freezing :-) ), we will be practicing outside, so dress accordingly.  If the weather is too bad, we will have practice in the gym from 5:30 - 7:30. This will be the schedule for Modays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.  If we have bad weather on Tuesdays or Thursdays, we get the gym for practice immediately following school at 3:30 - 5:30.   As far as tryouts/cuts go, the first cuts will be made after practice on Tuesday.  Good luck Ladies and we look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
